Wood Badge: Wood Badge 2010 will be held at Camp Fife over the two - 3 day weekends (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) that are on either side of Labor Day – August 26-28 and September 9-11, 2010. “ Wood Badge is one of Scouting’s ultimate personal experiences.” I have been Wood Badge trained and will be a member of the 2010 staff. I highly recommend this training to all scout leaders. I think Pete Feltrup, the 2010 Wood Badge Course Director put it perfectly when he said, “I believe with all my heart that by attending Wood Badge you will discover a renewed spirit and deeper faith in the principles of the Boy Scouts of America. “ This is what I would ask of you….please, look at your calendars, check with your family and your workplace and see if this fits into your summer/fall schedule. We would like to have your registration and registration fee of $75.00 by March 1st. Early recruitment of and commitment by participants is necessary to put together and train the staff for Wood Badge. Download the flyer and registration here.
Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoumaster, Varsity Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach, Venture Crew and Assistant Crew Leaders Training: Saturday, May 8th during the merit badge fair at the LDS church in East Wenatchee on Tenth Street off of Eastmont Avenue – 8 am – noon. Let me know if you plan to attend.
Cub Scout Leader Training: There will be training provided on Saturday, May 8th, 8 am – noon for all positions in scouting except committee leaders. It will be held at the LDS Church in East Wenatchee, on 10th Street, right off of Eastmont Avenue. Please let me know if you plan to attend. Each of these trainings requires a trainer who is prepared and ready to go. That is why I ask that you let me know if you are planning to attend so that we can be ready for you.
Thank you so much for your commitment to the boys and young men in scouting.
